Life is choices and as well as this weekend there was plenty of choice again for me to get some experience in the blues world. Peer Blues Festival and Big Rivers Dordrecht were so again ways to go enjoy some blues spectacle. Also Danny Bryant's Redeyeband was back in the neighborhood and a good option. And the latter is preferred before me. Due to the location of event, the always charming blues café in Apeldoorn where Jan Kerseboom for about seventeen years at the helm in a way that the blues in the Netherlands or in life must keep.
After the afternoon enjoying some of what terraces and a delicious bite to eat, I was on time at the blues cafe to have some quiet chat with some blues related persons. Also the entire family with Trevor Bryant Barr (drums) had plenty of time to get some time to spend on the environment and the internal feeding prior to a spectacular show to begin. Build and soundcheck went smoothly and everything was so ready to actually let splashing.
A bit later than planned was the first song from the hit and followed one after another strong number of Danny. The band was having fun because there was also regularly laughed among themselves which to me is just the words and humor were missed, but I laughed merrily along, of course, I was indeed enjoying myself. Danny played tight and was as usual well-directed working with the public to them with his play and mime to make sense. Wonderful to this guy to see play with his power blues to also the fine stringed guitar work is not to warn, though is it necessary that the guests take the quack keep that worked miracles several times in the blues bar. Lovely crowd so.
Walk away, Heartbreaker, Last man standing, Good time woman, Last goodbye and so did my favorite songs like Always With Me, Girl from the north country, and Master of disaster came over. These last two songs coincidental covers of Bob Dylan and John Hiatt are also the songs really find my appreciation of the work of Danny. In itself strong songs, but the way she brings Danny comes still life and makes them very strong stand out among the rest. Nothing wrong with a cover like this Danny transforms into a true delight to the ear. But of course, the most appreciation for this Redeyeband for imaginative work terribly delicate ballads on the program.
Voodoo Chile as an encore came again to an end, but luckily we will Danny still regularly encounter in the Dutch blues circuit, as on Saturday, September 17, 2011 a performance at the Turning point in Rosmalen, where shooting will take place from the first dvd Danny Bryant's Redeyeband.
